					<p>I always seem to spend more time during winter surfing around to various blogs and building stoke for winter rides. There are a few blogs that reliably bring me back for more every few weeks- check out these folks and dream about your future excursions:</p>

In addition to images of red rocks and blue sky he post up well-edited short videos of his trips.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.topofusion.com/diary/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.topofusion.com']);">The Diary of Scott Morris</a>: <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-4196" alt="TopoFusionDiary" src="../../wp-content/uploads/2014/01/TopoFusionDiary-300x204.jpg" width="300" height="204"/>Scott is a pioneer of the bikepacking movement, between his TopoFusion mapping software and curation of Bikepacking.net he has made some healthy contributions to the community. His photos from Arizona, Colorado and Alaska are enough to ignite wanderlust in even the casual reader.</p>

<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-4121" alt="Christmas Valley - Fatbiking" src="../../wp-content/uploads/2013/10/DSC_03481-300x199.jpg" width="300" height="199"/> If you know anything about us you know we’re big fans of Velodirt. Oregon’s homegrown bikepacking blog chronicles the adventures of a small group of folks and their trips around the further reaches of the state as well as some less-traveled pockets of awesomeness close to Portland. Beyond trip reports, Velodirt has some great route info. This year will be a big one for Velodirt, as the Oregon Outback race promises to raise their profile by about 1 million percent.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.pathlesspedaled.com/blog" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.pathlesspedaled.com']);">The Path Less Pedaled</a>: <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-4198" alt="Pathlesspedaledblog" src="../../wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Pathlesspedaledblog-300x200.jpg" width="300" height="200"/>Russ and Laura are new-ish Portlanders and experienced bike tourists. They’ve parlayed their experience into work promoting bike tourism for Oregon, and it looks like they’re expanding to California. Their blog is fun and as more pavement-oriented tourists, many of the rides they cover are easier and less remote. But good info if good info, and I found out through them that Portland’s Dodge Park was newly open for camping last year, which sent me out for a great short overnighter on one of the longest days of the year.</p>

<p>Lastly, Logan’s adventures are more of the &#8220;life-list&#8221; sort for most of us, the kind of trips we plan for ten years and are lucky to take. His globe-spanning blog is truly exciting travel journalism and you’d better plan on spending the better part of an evening being drawn in.</p>
