ttle ones who are now safely held in the arms of Jesus.</p><p style=3D"box-=

ox; margin: 0 0 10px;">This month holds deep meaning for me personally. Thr=
ough the years, Craig and I have said goodbye to five precious babies far t=
oo soon. We held four of them in our hands, and each one changed our hearts=

style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;">Even now, decades later=
, I carry their memory with both tears and gratitude. I miss them=E2=80=94b=

order-box; font-weight: bold;">heaven is real</strong>, and that one day I =

heck-up, only to hear that our little one=E2=80=99s heartbeat was undetecta=
ble.</span></p><p style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"></p><=
p style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"><span style=3D"box-si=
zing: border-box;">My husband began to weep and pleaded for the nurse to ch=
eck again. She did =E2=80=94 but there was no change. I felt completely num=
b. As we pulled out of the driveway to head home, the radio was turned down=
, but I could read the title of the song that was playing. It read: <span s=
tyle=3D"box-sizing: border-box;">=E2=80=9CCount It All Joy.=E2=80=9D</span>=
</span></p><p style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"></p><p st=
yle=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"><span style=3D"box-sizing=
: border-box;">I remember feeling irritated, yet I couldn=E2=80=99t take my=
 eyes off those words. I thought, </span><em style=3D"box-sizing: border-bo=
x;"><span style=3D"box-sizing: border-box;">Who wrote this ridiculous verse=
? What do you mean, count it ALL joy? Have they ever gone through anything =
truly painful??</span></em></p><blockquote style=3D"box-sizing: border-box;=
 padding: 10px 20px; margin: 0 0 20px; font-size: 17.5px; border-left: 5px =
solid #eee;"><p style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px; margin-b=

e various trials, because the testing of your faith produces perseverance. =
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, la=

ed that I was not seeing this Scripture =E2=80=94 in that moment =E2=80=94 =
by accident. I could sense the Lord inviting me to trust Him in the dark.</=
span></p><p style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"></p><p styl=
e=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"><span style=3D"box-sizing: =
border-box;">Now, may I share with you the battle that ensued for my attent=
ion in those next few moments before the smoke finally cleared? In that mom=
ent, I knew I had to decide what I was going to do with this Jesus I profes=
sed was so amazing=E2=80=A6 right in the middle of this pain =E2=80=94 with=
 a gigantic, unanswered =E2=80=9Cwhy=E2=80=9D staring me in the face.</span=
></p><p style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"></p><p style=3D=
"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"><span style=3D"box-sizing: bord=
er-box;">Would I worship Him through the losses, or blame Him for allowing =
them in the first place and draw the conclusion that God isn=E2=80=99t as g=
ood as He claims to be? (I would never say that out loud, but it would defi=
nitely become an unspoken belief nestled deep within my soul.)</span></p><p=
 style=3D"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"></p><p style=3D"box-si=
zing: border-box; margin: 0 0 10px;"><span style=3D"box-sizing: border-box;=
">Although I=E2=80=99d still go to church, attend the women=E2=80=99s confe=
rence, and prayer groups =E2=80=94 I=E2=80=99d even continue to serve in mi=
nistry =E2=80=94 that seed of doubt, that thought that God is actually unfa=
ir, would instruct my heart to take several steps back from the Lord and sl=
ow my pursuit of Him. Because, quite frankly, I felt like He had indeed let=
 me down. I was gravely disappointed.</span></p>
