**Helen Turner**=C2=A0serves as the Director of Education at the St. Louis =
Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum. She holds a bachelor=E2=80=99s degree in h=
istory from Binghamton University and a master=E2=80=99s degree with a spec=
ialization in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Stony Brook University. H=
er work focuses on how artifacts and material culture shape collective Holo=
caust memory and memorial representation in museums. Turner=E2=80=99s 2020 =
publication,=20

**=E2=80=9CResistance as Examined through Material Possessions in Auschwitz=
-Birkenau,=E2=80=9D**=C2=A0explores how everyday objects can reveal acts of=
 defiance and humanity in the camps. This lecture marks her first public pr=
esentation on LGBTQ+ history during the Holocaust.
